Volkswagen Concept: SK8

September 5, 2006

Volkswagen Concept: SK8

This Volkswagen Concept is an expression of minimalist proportions. Based on an early single cab transporter, promptly ditch the doors, bumpers, side panels and tailgate and chop off the roof. Keep the safari windows and the red bench style seats intact.

Slammed suspension featuring Airkewld airbag suspension allowing it to cruise effortlessly at normal height and then can scrape the show grounds at will. With 17″ inch Rader rims and Potenza Advan tires, SK8 runs like a go cart. A 1776, dual Solex 32s, dual QP headers, 009, and alternator sing with daily driver dependability and economy.

Red paint is used everywhere. From the body, interior, suspension, to the engine tin is sprayed in this solid hue. Stock headlights and taillights hide 12-volt converted innards. A final touch is the airbrushed SK8 logo on the side and instead of the VW nose logo. Scrape.
